My letter to match.com regarding their practices.

I sent the following letter to match.com regarding the scammers that have infestedtheir website.

Hello,

When I try to "Report A Concern", I am sent to a page where I can fill out a form that can detail why a profile is either fake or inappropriate. When I do this, the form does not work. It needs to be fixed.

This is the error I get:

XML Parsing Error: no element found
Location: http://www.match.com/blocking/pu_abuse_blocking.aspx?mrf=loveperfected371&lid=0
Line Number 1, Column 1:
^

Also, loveperfected371 is a fake profile. I have been conversing with this person outside of match.com and they have told me that they are from the United States, but are in Africa at the moment. I believe that they are trying to perpetrate what is commonly known as the "419 scam". Have a look here if you want to know what I am referring to.

I am quite sure that it is only a matter of time before they ask me for money in some way.

Please fix your code on your website so I can report fake profiles or scammers and please eliminate all fake profiles on your web site. When my subscription ends in about a month, I do not intend to renew my subscription for the aforementioned reasons. You do not take my security seriously and it seems you have made it intentionally difficult to contact you regarding the proliferation of fake profiles on your website. I think I will try your competition True.com as they do identity verification on their membership.

Your future former customer,

We will see if they take this seriously. I personally believe that they are laughing all the way to the bank. I guess I should have known they were amoral when they got Dr. Phil to do their advertising for them. My mistake
